369- “Design With Yamani Style” Competition by Contrast Design
On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, the event was organized by Contrast Design Studio, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture at the Basemant Cultural Foundation, where the winners of the “Design With Yameni Style” competition were honored.
The contest aims at reviving the identity of Yemeni heritage and involving a large number of individuals and civil society organizations in thinking about the importance of reviving the original Yemeni style and helping the hidden talents to bring them into existence.
The competition aims to provide job opportunities by introducing participants through direct communication with the attendees from the owners of money and businessmen.
The event was attended by 30 participants, who started by honoring all the contestants. They were honored by Professor Amat Al-Razzaq Jahaf, Deputy General Authority for Preservation of Historical Cities, Dr. Mohammed Faye, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University, The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Hoda Ablan, who opened the event with a speech thanking the contestants.
The winners were announced after the judging of the members of the jury and the public vote. The vote took 10% of the final decision.
