Training in the design of strategic plans for cultural management.

Basement Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the British Council is pleased to announce that it has provided training in the design of strategic plans for cultural management. Monday and Tuesday 16-17 November 2020, 4-6:30 pm.
The training aims to develop the skills of cultural actors in Yemen in how to manage cultural entities and to know the steps and tools necessary to build strategic plans for these entities. The training focuses mainly on several main areas such as plan development, financing, communication, promotion and public relations, production, and budgeting. This training comes within the Yemeni context, based on the cultural reality and its challenges, and using examples of the work of the Basement Cultural Foundation. The two-day training will be implemented via an online platform, and it is mainly targeting cultural actors, artists, workers in the cultural sector, those wishing to establish cultural entities, and those interested in the cultural field in general.
About the Trainer: Shaima Jamal, 28, is the Executive Director of the Basement Cultural Foundation. She has more than eight years of experience managing cultural and artistic programs in Yemen. Its approach is to integrate culture as a tool for social change and development. Advisor on cultural programs in Yemen at many international and local organizations. She has taken many courses in cultural management in Britain, Lebanon, and Egypt.
