As part of the activity (spaces) organized by Basemant cultural Foundation, held two public debates on Saturday evening, June 22, 2019, presented by a group of young people who received in earlier stages of the project training on the skills of the debate provided by the trainer Amani al-Habashi, and a training on body language and speech delivered by the trainer Basma al-Qudsi. Training in research skills provided by trainer Abdo Salem.
The first debate was entitled “Prioritizing development-supporting projects versus emergency assistance projects, with or against?”
The first team defended the priority of allowing development projects that help in the long term to reform the country by supporting infrastructure, providing employment opportunities for citizens instead of receiving temporary assistance, and helping to ensure that the economic, educational and health situation in the country is not significantly affected in the event of war. And disasters. The other team was of the view that priority is now given to emergency relief projects in view of the humanitarian situation in the country and the need for relief assistance that saves the lives of civilians affected by war.
