Hosted by the Basement Foundation, Shaft Foundation and Fadaat Foundation for Development held a celebration event on the late Yemeni artist Abu Bakr Salem Belfkih.
The event reviewed the institutions participating in the event, and its first paragraph began with the screening of the film “Nagham La Yaghdrna”, prepared and screened by Ahmed Al Habashi and produced by the Culture Office in Hadramout, which presented the most important stages of the artist’s career since his performance in Tarim, moving to Aden and then Beirut, and moving to The world of music is broad.
The audience, who shared their views on the film and the artist Abu Bakr Salem, was well received. They point to his role in reviving and renewing Yemeni and Hadrami music in particular.
Jihad Babrik, the activities officer of the Basement Foundation, interviewed Mr. Amin Dirham, who accompanied the artist Abu Bakr at various stages, explaining how Abu Bakr struggled and went to Aden and his condition and struggled and moved to the education corps in Aden and Lahj only to reach what he reached, recommending generations. The young woman struggled and did not hide their talent and benefit from the biography of the great artist; he did not become what we know today without this struggle.
Later, with the children of Abdul Aziz and Hisham Al-Yemeni singing a joint song for the artist, and the band Mar, composed of (Adnan Al-Jabri, Mohammed Samman, and Musab Al-Shaibani) and they sing the song Ya Samar (singing and melodies Abu Bakr Salem), as the artist Ibrahim Fadl non-famous loyal Abu Bakr Salem composed by Abdul Rab Idris.
Finally, to the paragraph of singing and folklore with the Hadrami group “Shabab Hadramout” where the band reviewed two popular dances: Alaaddh and Sharh, in conjunction with the songs of Dan Hadrami Abu Bakr.
The event concluded with a review of Abu Bakr Salim’s portraits in which a group of artists participated.
