Basement Cultural Foundation, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at 4:00 pm, conducted the discussion session No. 25 of the “Gherbal” activity, which was about the life and work of the English writer Virginia Woolf.
The discussion began with the presentation of an introductory video for the writer, and the discussion was varied between the audience in the library and WhatsApp.
Session facilitator Shihab Al-Ahdal spoke about the beginnings of Virginia Woolf and how it influenced English literature as a whole.
The facilitator discussed the writer’s vision and the difficulties she faced, which made the difficulties that accompany her in her life.
The attendees shared their experiences in reading some of the writer’s books, how they enjoyed a simple style of writing while preserving the eloquence of meanings, and her attempts to awaken the human conscience.
