Today, Thursday, January 13, 2022, Basement Cultural Foundation held its 442nd event by holding an art exhibition entitled (Corners of the Soul) by the young artist Ayman Al-Nusairi. The event included several segments, the first of which was a musical opening with Sama Sabry playing the piano and Adam Al-Aghbari playing the guitar. After that, the visual artist Amna Al-Nusairi, Professor of Aesthetics, and the visual artist Nabil Qasim, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Basement Foundation, spoke about the experience of the artist Ayman Al-Nusairi as one of the students of the artist Amna Al-Nusairi, and presented their impressions of his art exhibition, which is the first in his artistic career, in addition to talking about what distinguishes Ayman from a promising talent and an artistic style with clear context and features.
In the second segment of the event, both Sama and Adam returned to play again by presenting musical pieces collectively and individually, before Dr. Yassin Saeed presented the musicians with bouquets of roses to encourage their early and promising musical career.
This was followed by a surprise tribute by Basement Foundation to the visual artist Amna Al-Nusairi in appreciation of her outstanding artistic productions over decades in the field of visual arts, where Nabil Qasim spoke about Dr. Amna’s artistic experience under the title “Amna Al-Nusairi and the Six Squares”, in which he shed light on her philosophical, artistic, social, familial and human experiences. The last part of the event was dedicated to viewing the exhibition (Corners of the Soul), where the audience moved to view the displayed paintings and talk with the artist.
