On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Basement Cultural Foundation held the 402 Knowledge Exchange Forum event entitled “E-Learning” by Abdulrahman Hussein Al-Kraibi, Student of Mechatronics and Acting Secretary General of the Youth Parliament. He talked about the history, benefits, and implications of e-learning, presenting an introductory flash about Khan College and how it started. Then go on to explain the advantages of these platforms, such as being free, open to new technology and ideas, flexibility in time, easy access globally, and the diversity and expansion of lessons compared to the current situation in education in the country. He explained the importance of taking advantage of these platforms in self-development; advising young people to start to experience within their areas of interest and without confusion. He reviewed many positive and negative characteristics, as well as some Arab and international platforms and his personal experience with some of them. Many of the attendees participated in the discussion, inquiring about some of the issues related to the platforms and will be included in the detailed report later.
