On Sunday, November 18, 2018, a four-day training course was held at the Basemant Cultural Foundation. The trainers (Jihad Babrik and Abdullah Al-Abbasi) will train 16 participants, selected according to the participation forms previously published on the Basemant Foundation website.
In this course, the trainees will learn about the concept of the debates, the basics and management of them, the ways to build the argument, answer the opposing arguments, the mechanism of the debate and learn the techniques of searching for information.
The research mechanisms session, which was held on Wednesday, November 21, dealt with the methods of scientific research, research procedures and the basics of Internet research. It also addressed the problems of the language of research and the lack of a lot of sources in Arabic and ways to solve these problems. It addressed the keys to research, survey techniques that touched on some means of control, experimentation, questionnaires and interviews. The course provided tips for researchers to obtain the best results, and data analysis methods. At the end of the course, the trainer suggested useful research sites for participants to benefit from.

Mr. Abdul Salam Al-Shuraihi attended the training course and talked about the booklet “Guide to Debates” prepared by Basemant Cultural Foundation, and stressed the importance of documenting the distinctive strategy of Basemant in the establishment of debates.
These courses is being held within the framework of “Spaces” project where Basemant Foundation chooses topics of interest to the community, provides training and qualification for those interested in the subject of the debate, presents essays and visual works on both sides of the thesis, and then presents a Public debate by the two qualified teams, attended by public audiance .
