Description
Huda Abdulrahman, a visual artist with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, resides in Sana’a. She also holds a diploma in freehand drawing and digital art. A cultural activist, she has participated in numerous local and regional exhibitions. She is the founder of “Ribbon Magazine,” a children’s magazine for Yemenis that highlights Yemeni heritage and introduces children to the diverse cultures of Yemen’s various regions. The story of Ribbon began when Huda realized that efforts spent in the wrong direction were wasted. She decided to follow her passion, not what was expected of her. Ribbon became a friend to children, teaching them, accompanying them in play, and whispering wisdom without preaching. With each step, Huda redirected her efforts toward what she loves. She channeled her artistic talent into disseminating and promoting Yemeni culture and history through the production of illustrated children’s stories about Yemeni history and heritage, funded by UNESCO and the European Union as part of the “Majdaf” project. She also produced a 2D film, marking her first foray into the world of animation.
